Gloucestershire Police Authority

I've just finished working on a new website for the Gloucestershire Police Authority. The brief was to take their old site that was built in the 90s and had very bad information architecture (layout and usability), in to the 2010s.
I redesign the IA, and created a look and feel that was appropriate for the organisation. The idea is to make sure that users who visit get the information they need quickly, but also to provide a reasonably pleasant user experience. Accessibility tools are also provided for screen reading, text and contrast changes.

I thought I would just share a bit about how we think the web development process should work - from when a client submits a brief to the site being handed over (and beyond). We are calling this the Halogy Ethos because it forms the basis of why we built Halogy.
Another CodeIgniter Project - Car Sages

Another project we finished a few weeks ago was a site called Car Sages. A car questions and answers community. It was an experiment to see how long it would take to build a site with user registration, question asking and answering and other nifty features like AJAX search and autocomplete.
Well it took 2 days - roughly 18 hours. Thanks to CodeIgniter. The site is far from complete, but it goes to show what you can do when you have a spare weekend and not a lot else to do. :-)
Project Management Made Easy

Over the last year we have been working on a web application called Project Bubble. The aim is to provide project management software for self-employed people or small businesses that has the really easy to use philosophy. We use BaseCamp and we like it, but we want to provide our own offering with a Haloweb angle. So in comes Project Bubble, a fun, friendly and easy to use account and project management system.
Sharing Haloweb history - MusoFinder

I wanted to share a site we did years ago, called MusoFinder. It started off as a simple idea for connecting musicians launched in 2003. It now has over 40,000 registered users and is one of the most commonly used search engines for musicans. It is a piece of Haloweb history of which we are proud. Check it out.

New portfolio section using JQuery Carousel

We have just launched a new Portfolio section called Our Work. It uses a (quite heavily) adapted version of jCarouselLite. We are quite chuffed with it, and also it worked first time in IE6!
