Dare to be different!
Posted: 6th May 2009

We recently released the logo for our flagship product Halogy and received mixed responses. Many said it was very cool and exciting, others didn't like it that much because it was too different and unconventional.
We love to be different and unconventional! A recent quote from a brand designer I know when quized about whether one should use the same typeface as the logo in the rest of the brand:
No. i would never do a typeface that matched the logo that's a recipe for mediocrity.
Having signage, stationary and websites in the same font as your logo is just brand-dilution.
We like to think that with Halogy we have broken the trend to follow mainstream thinking which can lead to mediocrity. We are very proud of our work and what's wrong with being a bit different. One thing is for sure and that is that it's sparking a lot of conversation :-).

Well, we have been getting along nicely with the Halogy Branding. The brand guidelines and the logo are complete, and we're now working on the web design. We have so much we could tell you about the plans for Halogy (the new exciting easy-to-use CMS), but for now we have to keep our mouths shut sorry.
The brand and a full explanation of what to expect from Halogy will be released shortly. It's going to be amazing.

New Permissions System on Halogy
Posted: 11th Mar 2009
We have finished building some amazing new features to Halogy. We are so excited about them and we are itching to create new screencasts to show the features in action. Halogy has grown ten fold over the last couple of months and not only that but the branding is coming along nicely (more to come on that later).
The features include a new permissions system, an events system and enhancements to the templating part of the CMS.

Branding - what's it all about?
Posted: 1st Mar 2009
We have begun work on branding the Halogy product (this is the service that provides everything you need for a website). But what is branding all about?
You have read all about how the Halogy product works I'm sure, but branding it in order to sell it is a whole new world. We want it to look great, but we want the unique selling points to shine through - the fact it is easy to use, the fact it pretty much covers everything most people would need from an off-the-shelf website solution, the fact that it is 100% British!.
Over the next few weeks we will keep you updated on the branding process and explain how this kind of thing works, and how it could work for your business.
Halogy - the "website in a box" solution
Posted: 1st Mar 2009
A lot of people have similar requirements for their websites. They need a nicely designed template, a CMS (Content Management System) so they can update their pages, a Shop and perhaps cool stuff like a blog or a group email deployment system.
Normally they would hire a web company in to build this site bespoke, tailored to their needs and the costs would be a fortune. But today us web developers rarely re-invent the wheel each time this scenario comes up. We can use systems that do all of the above and where all of the hard work has been done already. We have our own system and it's called Halogy.
