The Best Web Apps

Don't forget you can find a collection of great web apps on our web app review blog which now has nearly 400 subscribers and 200 Twitter followers. It's worth a look.
We did have a small period over the last few weeks when it didn't get updated (sorry about that), but we're back on the case now.

Working With WordPress Themes

We just finished working on a blog for a Shoe company. We used Wordpress for the Blog engine and we have to say overall it's pretty cool. Installing templates or 'themes' isn't too bad but you have to know PHP and learn the naming conventions of all the Wordpress components - in other words you have to read their documentation (boring!!!).
But yeah the blog looks great, and the implementation was relatively easy... but not as easy as Halogy of course.

Ok so everyone is blogging these days. From Joe Bloggs on the street through to massive companies like Facebook and Google. But why, and what is a Blog? Does your business really need one?

Halogy - the "website in a box" solution

A lot of people have similar requirements for their websites. They need a nicely designed template, a CMS (Content Management System) so they can update their pages, a Shop and perhaps cool stuff like a blog or a group email deployment system.
Normally they would hire a web company in to build this site bespoke, tailored to their needs and the costs would be a fortune. But today us web developers rarely re-invent the wheel each time this scenario comes up. We can use systems that do all of the above and where all of the hard work has been done already. We have our own system and it's called Halogy.
