Recently we have been doing a lot of work in the charity sector and I just thought I'd share what we've been working on lately. A lot of clients we have are charities who really need websites that can capture the details of their visitors, track what they look at and have effective calls to action - usually to a donations page. We have been building modules on to Halogy that do this.
A lot of websites have a simple Paypal form that has a Donate Now button where you can simply specify an amount to a cause but recently we came across OptINnow which has a great system where you can donate to a particular project and see how well it's being funded.
We are looking at ways to integrate this kind of system in to Halogy. It would be great if you could not only be able to make a general donation, but also be able to either add a donation to your checkout (as you shop), or be able to add a donation to a specific project. So with the new Halogy developments we will likely be producing a Projects module and release the whole package as a new Halogy flavour for the charity sector.
